Wishlist

I will expand upon this, but for now these are the basic needs: COST: Something around $750 a month, maybe a little more. I'm open to 1,2, or 3 bed furnished or not, with or without roomies. LOCATION: I used to live in Astoria, but I would also consider other parts of Queens and Brooklyn. Manhattan too, of course, but I figure I can't afford it. I'd like to live close (5-10 minutes) to a train that isn't too far away from the city. The closer, the better. I'd like to be very close to a neighborhood where there is a organic grocer, yoga, stuff like that. Maybe even a movie theatre. NEEDS: I have a pitbull, so that will be probably the trickiest part for my landlord/roommate(s). Because of this, I'd LOVE to have a shared yard or be really close to a park/dogrun. I'd love to have my own bathroom, but not a deal breaker. I'd also LOVE a washer/dryer/dishwasher. Depending on the roommate's needs, I would want high speed internet, but on-demand premium channels, etc I could go either way. I wouldn't mind saving some money (and time) to have basic TV, but you could probably bend my arm (I love Showtime and do enjoy being able to record TV for later). SCHEDULE: I'll be attending a grad program M-F in the evenings and will be working a few days a week, so it seems I'll be out often. Otherwise, I work from home. My Chicago boyfriend will be coming to visit (and work) once or twice a month for a long weekend and I'll be going away once every month or two for the weekend. ABOUT ME: I'm mostly veggie (I eat seafood), don't smoke, don't drink often. I strive for balance and usually teeter, meaning I'm all organic/yoga/alternative health and then I'll get a pack of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and have a Sex & The City marathon!
