6-Month Sublet for a designer looking to experience Toronto

Housing Offered
From 01st December 2010
Until 31st May 2011
What Is On Offer
We're looking for someone to love our place as much as we do. We're travelling for 6 months but love it too much to give it up entirely AND too much to give it out to just anyone. We're hoping the person who takes it on will be able to fully enjoy the area, and appreciate the space and all it has to offer.
The Property
We've got a beautiful, loft-style apartment in Toronto's west end with original hardwood, 10-foot ceilings, tons of architectural detail (including a massive bay window in the main room) and a great neighbourhood to explore.
It was originally a hospital that was converted in the early 50's to the building it is now. Tennants have occupied some of these apartments for more than 30 years and some even still have the fold-down beds! Ours was beautifully renovated a few years back and they managed to keep the original charm (and dark hardwood floor) intact.
It's a 2-bedroom space with 10.5' ceilings, a full walk-in closet in the master bedroom and a huge bay window where you can sit on rainy days. We currently use the second bedroom as our office/studio.
It's fully-furnished with a mix of new and vintage furniture that we've collected over the years in the mid-century modern style.
While we do not have a washing machine in the unit, there are pay-machines in the basement.
The Neighbourhood
Roncesvalles Village is a small town within the big city - A place where musicians and artists congregate, people say hi to each other, cute shops line the streets and the weekly farmers market is a big attraction.
Close to all public transit, walking distance to beautiful High Park (Toronto's biggest), bike-friendly, minutes from the lake and a quick hop to the highway.
