What Is On Offer

I am a freelance filmmaker looking for someone to sublet my apartment from Thursday, July 1st to Saturday, July 31st while I'm out of the country for travel. The rate I'm looking to set out for is $605, but I'm definitely flexible with the price.

The Property

My beautiful and quiet apartment No. 110 studio is off the main floor of The Worthington. The 40+ unit building was built in the 1920's and has been kept up very well. The wood floors in the living space is about 13' x 16'. Two windows overlook the courtyard of the apartment building. The studio is tucked away in the inside corner of the building keeping the place cool and dark. Outside of the living space is a spacious kitchen and dining room area. The kitchen sink counter has original 1920's tiling which brings some authenticity to the place. There's plenty of room for cooking. The bathroom has a tub.

I do not have internet access, but the building has this service where you can buy per use or for the month. There's plenty of coffee shops around that offer free wi-fi so long as you order there. There is a laundry room in the basement of the apartment which is about $1 for the washer and $1 for the dryer. The neighbors are nice and keep to themselves so you don't have to worry about getting your clothes stolen.

Smoking is not allowed in the building, but you can smoke outside in the front as along as it's outside of the building.

The Neighbourhood

The Worthington is located off 19th and NW Irving, which is blocks away from the Pearl District, 21st Ave and 23rd Ave. All things needed (Couch Park, Safeway, Trader Joe's, Coffee shops, etc...) are within a couple blocks of each other. The Streetcar is about two blocks away and that can take in all through Downtown. The transportation here is great. If you have a bike to get around, that's a plus. Especially during the summer months!

A couple of good bars are Slabtown for Pinball, Muu Muus for happy hour and Bridgeport Brewery for some local brewed beers. If you're looking for a good brunch spot, Besaw's is one up off 23rd.
